TWD S1 was good. TFTB was surprisingly also good.

This crazy bitch was better, I half expected Bigby to fuck her until she went full villain.
>>388682978
>>388682109
All the girls were good. The artstyle and source material lends itself really really well to the engine and doesn't feel like a Telltale game at times. Every other telltale game suffers from having the same four expressions and similar face models.

Georgie had good reasons to do what he did but it was more the Crooked fuck than anything. I'm suprised they didn't go with some twist instead of the pimp did it because I guess there were so many red herrings they thought they could trick people.
I've watched Magnum Force way too many times and that drain cleaner scene sticks with you so that was my deciding factor right there.
Daily reminder before they rewrote the entire fucking story after Chapter 1 Bigby was going to use glamour to break into the police station to steal Snow White's body and the mundie police get suspicious over who Bigby really is and there was going to be a big thing between Bigby trying to keep the police from finding out about Fables existence

>>388689819
I heard conflicting stories. I remember hearing somewhere they had to change it because the creator of Fables didn't like the idea of Bigby using glamour to turn into a mundie (apparently he was going to turn into Branigan to steal Snow's body, hence why the original title card for Episode 3 was her spying on Bigby since she got suspicious).
Why the fuck the creator didn't know the plot ahead of time is beyond me.
>>388690602

Most people in Fabletown are fickle assholes. You try and be nice and they start shit. You come down hard on their ass and they act like its your fault when they're the ones being the twits. It's annoying, but I can kind of believe it. Best way to play the game is do whatever you want regardless of what anyone else says.
Also kill one of the tweedles just for the satisfaction of killing the fat cockney shit.
>>388694491
Telltale games are written by children, they wouldn't able to pull that off especially when they have issues doing capeshit

idk I always thought their games were pretty well written with very well developed characters compared to the rest of the industry
exception goes to Game of Thrones.
And what was wrong with Batman, exactly? I really liked it barring the technical issues that plague that game, and Episode 1 of the 2nd Season started out real strong imo. Really liked the changes Kirkbride brought on
>>388694843
To be fair that's kinda what happens in the comics too.
You need to remember Bigby was a giant piece of shit wolf monstrosity that literally destroyed and ate their villages and loved ones. Kinda hard not to be scared/pissed off at him after all that.
>>388691479
I was really hoping for some cutting dialogue with her before the final confrontation - I played the game for the most part trying to be... not FULL ASSHOLE but was ready to sass the fuck out of her. Alas.
Batman s2 ep 1 was their best ep 1 in a long time. I can't wait to see how they fuck it up.
>>388695615
ep3 of guardians of the galaxy was also extremely strong imo
>>388695115
I was more referring to Guardians when talking about capeshit. Batman was okay, It has good TWEEEST but it handles them poorly in later episodes. Why was everyone getting so mad at Bruce for something his Father did?Why did they make Vicki the embodiment of the TWISTED FUCKING PSYCHOPATH meme?
I didn't know that fucking Kirkbide of all people was working at Telltale, but if he did have anything to do with Batman S2 Ep1 that would explain a lot because its one of the better premier telltale episodes.
>>388695615
michael kirkbride baby
was that his first time designing an episode for them?
>>388695115
>And what was wrong with Batman, exactly?
Where did Vicki get her training and sci-fi gear?
>>388695328
Begs the question how they ever let him be sheriff though.
>>388695801
I played Guardians. Never watched the movie, don't know shit about the setting. I thought episode 1 was painfully bad, and they were constantly trying to force shitty jokes/funny moments that just didn't work. It made me somewhat physically uncomfortable and it was actually the first time I had to pause a Telltale game and take a break because I was cringing hard.
However I think Episode 3 stepped it up massively, and there were some moments where I found myself smiling at shit that happened.
>Why was everyone getting so mad at Bruce for something his Father did?
Because Bruce's entire rich boy life is built on the graves of all those people. Their parents stole everything from those kids. Oz, Lady Arkham, they look at Bruce and feel that here's this guy, his dad murdered my family and took all of my shit, and now there he is living the big life, the life I should be living, while I'm rotting in this asylum. Naturally, they want revenge. I'd want it too.
and yeah Kirkbride shows up on Season 2 Episode 1 as Lead Designer and a writer as well. He wrote some stuff for Season 1 too IIRC.
Did you let him take it?why didn't they have Mark Hamil voicing him? Also Troy Baker as Batman is kinda shit imo
>>388683952
>knife him
Hm yes I WILL whittle him a nice little figurine.
>>388696219
Most people have learned by now that you should just play along and not do the smart thing, I doubt a lot of people thought that telling him to quit it would be the better option.
>>388685767
to be fair the guy says immediately before that line something about sharing a drink with you

The problem was he was in almost every scene in the background and people noticed
>>388696219
I don't think he even pulled out a phone on me.

>>388696219
I wonder what they're gonna do with him. It's pretty obvious that he's the big bad guy in Season 2 but since they're taking a whole new approach to him and are actually bothering developing his character I foresee a big decision involving him in at the end of the season.
>still no sequel to Wolf Among Us

>>388695948
Just kinda happened. He had the support of Bluebeard who had all his fortune by being a collaborator and Snow who everyone loved. Basically he made the most sense. Also the witches we so scared of him they glamored him for free to keep him from being in wolf mode. That definitively helped.

Batman is alright, it doesn't follow canon so not every character has plot armour, which is nice.
I watched the SBFP Walking dead LPs and Episode 3 is by far the shittiest of them. So many of your choices do not matter in the slightest.
>>388701061
I mean, choices in telltale games have always been pretty questionable. It's more about quality of the story than choice to me.
>>388680312
doesnt really matter since Auntie Greenleaf will still help you in the comics

What you don't understand about Fables is that it's not simply fairy tale characters. That's the main cast, yes, but there are even living embodiments of literary devices. Folk tales and urban legends are perfectly acceptable, though maybe not so much for the time frame Wolf Among Us takes place in.
