and why should it be Akavir hundreds of years before TES:Arena
>>
Summerset Isle, the fully voiced player goes from Skyrim to fight the Thalmor on their turf, and this time it's personnel, kids. Playable races are Nord, Redguard, Breton, or High Elf. The class breakdown is now just Warrior, Mage, or Thief. You have no stats at all, just your class' abilities for that level. Equips are defined by your class. If your thief picks up a staff and robes it turns into a bow and light armor.
Bretons are now half black.

well, look at it with a company perspective
>skyrim made a lot of cash out of normies, introducing them to baby first rpg
so bethesda surely want to please its normie players, so you have to ask yourself
>as a setting what would make the difference between a displeased normie and a pleased normie?
multiple things, current trending theme in global media, game of throne and that kind of stuff, also elements from skyrim people loved, and obviously, obligatory virtue signaling
>elsweyr is the perfect candidate
people love khajits, they are not le cis white male meme, they live in a desert and can be pretendent to some we wuzing, and they tend to be enough violent to please the "boob and blood" peoples, adding to that the fact that it'd make sense to see a sequel there

Yeah but putting it in the summerset isles would combine morrowind, oblivion and skyrim into the perfect ES. Magic of morrowind (high elves everywhere) quests of oblivion (working for the thalmor or working against them) and mod capability and superior engine of skyrim, but even better since it's no longer 2011. Magic would finally be able to be as OP as it was in morrowind, which is cool. They may even bring back levitation! Why would they put it any where else? The game would be best in summmerset isles, or they could capitalize off of stealth archery and set the next game in valenwood, but that's not as good as a deal as the combination of the best elder scroll games ever made.

Realistically it will take place in Summerset Isles since Bethesda is going full "Thalmore iz the badguys and basically the enclave," because they don't know how to write enemy factions. We'll have the Dragonborn First Blood Part II show up and fight the mean, nasty High Elves saving the Nord once and for all from something something dragons. Of course there will be Imperial factions to do quests for because fuck it so we can have another god awful Thieves guild questline. We'll be lucky if race even plays a role in stats (if there are even skills/attributes at all) and stealth archery will be improved by the addition of ancient dwemer sniper rifles that do 24x crit damage. The final boss will be Elfgod the Unmentioned and afterwards the Vaultdweller can go back to raiding linear dungeons for pocket change and Gloves of Minor Usefulness.

Black Marsh is an extremely harsh environment, which has kept the bulk of the Empire out but it's still has Imperial Cities all along the coast, Dunmer in the North and an eastern chunk that has largely the same climate of Cyrodil. There is not some magic in it that kills every single non Argonian who tries to enter it's just dangerous.

The real reason it'll never be featured is because as far as we know there isn't a lot of Elvish, Daedric or Dunmer ruins to make dungeons out of. It's just been thousands of years of Hist domination.

There were two rumors that sound Thalmor in Oblivion.
Daedra worship on the rise in sumerset.
and
A group of wizards in Sumerset boycotting Imperial goods.

When you get to Skyrim
There is a rumor the AD general that was a prisoner in WGT was rescued by a winged Daedra.

In Legends you learn the Thalmor are in fact working with the Daedra.

Can't even cry it was out of the blue. They have been telling you this is coming since 2006.
>>
>>388675624
Do you think it will be smaller than fallout 4?
>>
>>388675624
Nice pic but you forgot battlespire
>>
>>388680629
No. Giving all the answers right away is dumb, the whole point of Akavir is how it is a mystery and that no one has ever managed to explore it. The lore expands on it using unreliable narrators and inconsistent accounts, which is the TES lore trademark pretty much, this is impossible to create when you have a game set there.
Hell, one of the debates is whether the Tsaeci truly are snake men or actually human, if you make a game set there you HAVE to give an answer, it completely kills any room for discussion.
Not only that you would have to make massive retcons just to have it set in Akavir. It's been already established for decades now that the continent is extremely hostile, magic stops working, traveling and communication is extremely difficult and the locals ass-raped all the Tamrielic explorers.
There is also the more esoteric lore which states that Akavir is a reflection of Tamriel's future kalpa and that Time gets all fucked when you go there. There's no way Bethesda would be able to represent this in a game.
>>388681103
You can't place Battlespire in this map.
>>
>>388680887
Given that those two provinces together are only just a but bigger than the entirety of Skyrim, and they play a big role in the Empire vs Dominion power game, yeah its totally plausible the next game would take place there. Though I could see them making a lot of Valenwood largely impassable Forests.
>>
>>388681269
So what you're saying is that you want the next game to have two fucking provinces scaled down around the size of Skyrim's map.
Great idea.

>>
>>388681374
No, I'm saying since the Provinces together are already around the same size of Skyrim it's not that ridiculous that around the time the next game rolls out Bethesda would have the technical capability to make a game with a map that size or at least capable of giving the impression of that scale.
>>
>>388681427
>he's the type of player who creates a pc just to jerk off to
>>
>>388681674
The tech for that already exists. Bethesda are just shit at making games. Hell they probably can make a good TES sequel but the Zenimax jews won't let them because they don't NEED to make a good game since it will get normalfag shekels anyways
>>
>>388681427
I don't need videogames to give me degenerate furry fantasies when artists like Sindoll exist.
>>
>>388681565
It also helps that the Northern parts of both provinces would have a lot of thoroughly Imperial leaning citizenry and you could put a lot of humans in those locations, not to mention merchants of whatever race on the port towns.
>>
>>388677794
Weather doesn't work under logical rules in the Elder Scrolls. Hammerfell and Daggerfall should also be frozen wastes and Blackmarsh/Elsweyr would be temperate if it did.

Also, Nords (and non-redguard humans) came from the continent NORTH of Skyrim, which by Earth logic would basically be Antarctica.

Basically, it's Magic(tm), I ain't gotta explain shit.

Yes it is time for a game set in a beast race province. The last few games were Skyrim (human), Oblivion (human) and Morrowind (elf). So yes beast should be next, followed by another elf land.....With that said, we all know they will pick the most boring and safe place as possible. Next game will be set in High Rock.

Vaslenwood be dope if done right

>"Valenwood has a largely uninhabited forest wilderness. The coasts of Valenwood are dominated by mangrove swamps and sub-tropical rain forests, while heavy rainfalls nurture the temperate inland rain forests. The Bosmer live in clanhouses at sites scattered along the coast and through the interior, connected only by undeveloped foot trails. The few Imperial roads traverse vast dense woodlands, studded with tiny, widely separated settlements, and carry little trade or traffic of any kind[1]. Furthermore, the nation is home to giant, migratory trees, such as Falinesti, that house their cities."

>"Much of the region is impenetrable mangrove and coastal rain forest, with few grasslands or glade areas until further north near the Strident Coast. It is "a sea of endless green, a maze of foliage with half-hidden cities growing like blooms from a flower," and "the home of the Bosmer is Tamriel's garden"[2] Domica Redwort is an herb grown by many residents of Valenwood for their beautiful and showy flowers. They attain a height of about three feet and have feathery leaves; the flowers are usually bright red. In addition to their beauty, they are said to have magical abilities to enhance the appearance of anyone who carries or wears one of the flowers.[3]"

Nirn doesn't have a shape, at least not in the conventional sense.

Mundus itself (the realm of existence) is spherical, like a plane of Oblivion, but Nirn exists within Mundus and it doesn't really have a defined shape, or even consistency across it's surface. One of the problems the Empire had in it's attempt to colonized Akavir is that the continent is never in the same place or even time that it was last. The remnants of Yokuda and Atmora have a similar property. The continents seem to always be roughly in relation to each other, but the exact locations change. Akavir is hinted to be in a different time placement as well, although it's not clear if this applies to the other continents.

Basically, Nirn isn't a planet in the sense that we understand it, and thus it doesn't operate under the climate and topographical rules that work in reality.

>>
>>388682993
why are there globes in daggerfall
honest question
>>
>>388682993
The planes of Oblivion are only spherical to the mortal mind, as they cannot comprehend the concept of infinity. Mundus, and consequentially, Nirn, on the other hand, are unfinished and finite, leading to the popular theory that it might actually be flat after all.
Although yes, it could have a constantly changing 7D form. I don't think that the continent's locations change, though, maybe only for Akavir (even then I think it has more to do with Time fuckery than actual physical placement).

Falinesti, the "walking city" of trees, has rooted itself for the first time in recorded history. A new Bosmer prophet has arisen, known only as the Precursor, who preaches that the old Forest God Y'ffre is returning with new gifts for his favored people. Whether these are isolated events, or signs of some great change coming to Valenwood, remains to be seen."

Numidium is also a tower and we have seen it work first hand in Daggerfall.
Do you understand that tower is literally anything that has been repurposed to emulate and manipulate reality?
Like if your character will create an object that mimics Aurbis and can reshape it, he will be creator of a new tower.
Towers serve different functions, only Red mountain, Adamantine and White-Gold help Mundus. Crystal-Like-Law was made by Auri-El to escape to Aetherius, Orichalc was made to cut up reality, Numidium was a means to apotheosis etc.

Except for deactivation of Dragonfires in White-Gold is the reason why fucking Oblivion happened? And the game literally ends with Amulet of Kings being shattered, deactivating White-Gold and Dragonfires for ever and creating a new covenant?
And again Numidium in Daggerfall.
Dagoth Ur literally operates from Red Mountain and uses Heart of Lorkhan, stone of Red Mountain to create Akulakhan.
High Hrothgar is prominent in Skyrim too.
In fact I don't think there was a TES game except for spin-offs where Towers were not prominent in some way.

My fear is literally fallout 4 with swords.
Just 4 dialog options levitating in third person.
I would rather have nothing than have that game exist.

They wouldn't limit the races though, they'd simply make one male body and one female body with no ability to change it's dimensions.
Like in Skyrim they just wouldn't write a lot of dialog that even acknowledges your character's race or sex.

They would absolutely fuck up abilities and the like.

I don't believe they would go with any non-human nation as it would be too offputting for the general audience they want to attract.
Hammerfel is out of the question because it would be deemed "problematic" to let a player play a "white guy" running around potentially killing a lot of "black people" between killing all those slanty-eyed, yellow skinned elves.
I'd like to believe they wouldn't go back to the nation's they've already done before and they haven't done ALL of highrock.

Misleading statement. It has a lot of lore, but it also has the greatest variety in quality out of all TES games.
I've encountered extremely obnoxious and shitty lore that completely goes against the point of what said subject was presented like in mainline games (for example all Khajiit and mane related lore) and I've seen extremely good and inventive lore (like alternative itteration of how White-Gold is the reason why Cyrodiil changed).
It has extremely good and extremely shit lore, while previous TES games very usually on the same level per game.

Even with how bad the last couple TES games have been, I still love them despite their massive issues and even though I know VI will suck ass I still want it more than anything. It's comparable to what people who are waaaay into Trek or Gundam or Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, feel.

It's a complicated feel.
