New Junkrat is fucking insane

They still aren't going to climb to diamond and higher with junkrat.

This just makes it so he doesn't become useless when mechanics are proficient on all players.

As he was before his projectiles were too slow, the riptire could be destroyed so fast, or negated that it was more of a liability to even use it, and his only chance to stop himself from dying instantly to wayward deeps with 0 chance was conc.

Now with the double conc charge and riptire buff he can at least fight pharah, and the divers somewhat, and have his ult actually go places.

Also to add onto that the obvious solution would be to make his regular gun projectiles faster, but it would have turned the game on its ass since the explosive balls do SO MUCH DAMAGE and have a giant hitbox.

I wouldn't say a damage buff, she already does enough damage to shred tanks with a full clip fast.

A slight spread reduction or more ammo would be fair for her.

Right now she is in a weird spot in that you swap her into a support slot and hope the medpacks are in a decent place to contest the objective on maps.

It also doesn't help most people pick her either to throw or because they think they are going to win without having the god aim and decision making required to make the character viable.

The biggest problem with Junkrat was how cheap his conc and his riptire were. An actually reasonable solution would have been to add a delay to the conc like the TF2 Demoman and make Riptire cancellable by killing him, then compensating by drastically increasing the damage and/or splash radius of both. Instead they've just made it even easier for Junk to get free instant kills by looking at people and pressing LShift+M2.

I hate everything about this character. Not even being racist, they made him look like a human ancestor. He looks like a caveman. Mate, Rip Tire is the worst ultimate in the Game.

Anyone can destroy it, EVERYONE knows it's coming and even if he's immune to the damage, if he rips the tire, both him and the tire get shot and die. On top of that, it can't climb up most walls which makes it even more predictable about where the tire is going to be coming from.

As for the concussion mines, it's about facilitating Junkrats mobility which is severely reduced when he uses it in battle. Junkrat is king of spamming chokes and close range CQC but the minute people get him from midrange and can dance around himhe's done; and hes weaker to people firing on higher elevation which just highlights how weak he can be on one map but be absolutely a nightmare in others. Only idiots that wanna run in complain about getting blown the fuck up, this is a fact.
What is the point of Junkrat being a defences hero if he has nothing to protect himself and the mine is his best and only tool for quick travel and damage.


These changes are QoL for him, they're not some real game changer that singlehandly hijacks the meta in rank, it just makes him feel better to play.

I just started playing OW last week and I have a question;
Why doesn't Junkrat take damage from his own bombs? I run into him in a hallway and he can spam in my face with zero reprecussion. I know now to be more cautious in choke point areas if I know an enemy Junkrat is on the team, but it's really annoying.
Also, do his bombs seriously do just as much damage after rolling as they do when landing a direct hit? Maybe TF2 spoiled me but that just seems to be rewarding bad aim.
