Mobius 1 is the undisputed best Ace. He pretty much won the war on his own. If I remember right, the last mission is the only one that had friendly fighters.

Not quite true, the last mission is the only mission that has other members of Mobius Squadron, but they're literally just temporary members that come from other friendly pilots you fly with throughout the game. In fact most missions see at least 2 or 3 other friendly pilots help you out (like you need it, you're Mobius Tittyfucking 1).

And if you're like me, also the plane of can't see nothings in cockpit mode. It's a pain in the ass but it's a godsend on missions where it makes you go over places all over the map. Like when you need to find Nagase's signal when she's lost or when you gotta chase the bombers escaping with jamming. Basically, anytime you need to go fucking fast.

All of the Russian planes have terrible cockpits with something blocking at least 30% of your view.

Cockpit view changed how I picked my planes, going from a literal flying coffin like the MiG-31 to something like the F-16 with that great, unobstructed view. Makes me wonder why HUD is more popular, and always in the webms and not Cockpit.

I played 04 first, and in HUD. After 5 and Zero I went back and played with a friend and he went with Cockpit, then I started doing it. Then I played 6 entirely in Cockpit, I can't even go back to HUD.
