T-T-Thanks Molyneux
Is that remaster thing actually bad? I haven't played Fable since it was new on the Xbox.
>aging and scarring as you play
>changes to characters physique based on diet and chosen power-ups
I wish more games would do these things
>>388666959
San Andreas had the weight mechanic too. Something about 2004 made devs want to add that to their games.
>>388666768
Yes but try it, you might not notice how horrifying it is.
>>388668005
What's wrong with it? I remember people not liking it but I don't know why.
>>388666959
Fuck thinking, right? Let's just shove in whatever the most popular game is doing, add some shitty flavour to it, and call it a day.
-Every developer in 2017.

Fable had a ton of features like that. Not sure about Fable 1, but later on there's marriage with any npcs, housing, public perception, STD's, pregnancy... For such a 'kiddy'-looking game, Fable had a lot of weird shit in it.
>>388668245
Really man just try it. usually I tell people who recommend it to fuck off but lately I've realized some people are okay with shitty deals.
Fable TLC doesn't have controller support, so if you want to use a controller just play the remaster.
>>388666445
>Fable
>Crimson skies high road to revenge
>Metal arms
>Halo 2 1v1s with friends
Fuck I miss my old Xbox
>>388668527
While the remaster has shit KBM controls so if you prefer those play TLC. Who the fuck greenlit 4 directional hotkeys on the remaster instead of a numerical quickbar?
>>388666768
>Is that remaster thing actually bad?
No, there is just no reason to buy it on Steam. The original Fable costs only 10 bucks, has plenty of options and runs very well. The anniversary costs like 30 bucks, has exactly the same content the non-anniversary version has and adds nothing new. Sure the non-anniversary version looks worse, but the anniversary version doesn't look all that great either.
But when all is said and done, it's equally playable as the original and if you feel like spending like 20 bucks more on something, go ahead.

>marriage with any npcs, housing, public perception, STD's,
Fable 1 has all of these things but they didn't amount to much. What people thought of you only amounted to people either going "YAY" or "OH NO" when you were near them and the novelty of that wears of quickly.

Fable is one of my favorite games and I bought the remaster and played through it on "hardcore" or whatever the fuck mode. Honestly The Lost Chapters sucks and it would be better if it wasn't in the game. There are some cool features like the brothel, but the actual final chapter is just trash. Every enemy is a damage sponge and quests consist of fighting dozens of them.
>>388666445
>Reminder that Fable II will never, ever be ported to PC so there's no real way of playing it until emulators work
Suffering my friend

>Honestly The Lost Chapters sucks and it would be better if it wasn't in the game
I agree. The story wraps up nicely with the Sword of Aeons and the Lost Chapters only adds things no one asked for.
>>388674678
or you know, just playing it the way the developers intended
>>388674976
so get an old ass console and try and find a copy of fable 2 in some shitty secondhand store?
It wasn't the developer who chose to make it forever exclusive, it was the publisher

tru

*collapses your mine*
>>388674678
You aren't missing much. Very short, worse setting and the most anticlimactic final act of any game I've ever played.
>>388677498
also too easy
>>388677498
>>388677583
Still miles better than 3
>>388677583
People complain about the never dying mechanic but I see what they were going for. It's just too bad you'd have to be retarded or asleep to ever actually lose a fight in the game.
