I've seen some gameplay and it looks a bit repetitive.

The fun is mainly in the PvP and it's about adapting to your opponent's style. Though right now everyone is new so most people don't even know their own moves, or have any outside of the basic starting ones.

In PvE, sure. In PvP, probably not, but everyone playing is still new anyway. I basically knows how to reliably pull only one move but I won almost every fight I've picked.

So how much of a difference does stats even make? I've got my shiny new absolver cape and played some pvp with a grand total of zero points put into vitality, and I've had no problems what so ever.

People in videos who I've seen dump a not small amount of levels into vitality don't seem to take much less damage than me, and neither do the people I've fought so far.

Its literally button mashing, stamina management and not being a complete retard. The directional adjustment does literally nothing besides make you start with a different attack.

Blocking blocks every incoming attack.

Its pretty fucking shallow IMO, even more so than for honor.

Plus stances determine the move you'll make and in what stance you'll go next so they're pretty fucking important.

I really hope they add more punching sounds than just the 1 to the game

I have. It doesnt matter. Every single fight is just hitting the shit out of X or Y, then blocking when your chain stops.

Mixups don't mean anything since blocking always blocks any incoming attack. There is no depth to the combat.

I've put in about 3 hours and I enjoy it, but I will say that it does feel kind of tedious having the choice of fighting samefaced npc's or other players and nothing outside of this. The map just doesn't have any unique locations or offer any sort of challenge outside of boss fights and pvp
