Manuals where at certain points of the game you have to look up a symbol or input a word.

multiplayer?
all of it because I'm not a little thief bitch

Consoles until 7th generation, 8th gen is trash.

You say that but Operation Stealth's implementation is the worst fucking shit ever
Anything making pirating impossible. I can't wait until games become unpiratable so all the kids starts crying on this shitty board.
>>388650948
non-intrusive and non-performance hogging ones, like Denuvo.
>>388651254
pretty sure those are called console games and it doesnt change anything.

I was referencing games like Return to Zork or The Dig. When "don't copy that floppy" was a campaign.

CD keys, if only because it means we get more keygens with cool music.
Why bother wasting your budget on copy protection measures when they're inevitably going to get cracked at some point in the future? People who are going to pirate your game were most likely never going to buy it anyway. Not to mention DRM usually fucks over honest, paying customers.
>>388651382
operation stealth was before both of those
>>388651440
Day 1 sales and preorders are the only ones that matter for publishers, even if some kid cracks their DRM ten days later, publishers doesn't care.

Cartridges
What's drm?

It's mostly about the sales on the release week (or month). There are tons of people who want to play the game instanly after release but will pirate it if given the chance to do it, and some of them don't have the patience to hold out for the inevitable crack.
Consoles.
