Deadly Creatures for the Wii. You play as a scorpion and a tarantula and take part in a story involving humans looking for gold. It's told from they're perspective and you crawl around fighting other bugs and creatures. It was a really cool beat em up that no one remembers.

Netstorm

If I could bring it back I would, one of the most unique and interesting strategy games out there. Winning took the perfect blend of speed, precision, planning and a bit of luck. Fuck's sake, you win the game by PHYSICALLY KIDNAPPING the enemy priest and SACRIFICING HIM TO THE GODS

One of the first games to be mass pirated too, and how did the game devs react? They said fuck it, put the game download up on their website for free and diligently maintained the servers for years and years afterwards. Absolute bro-tier. You could still see them online occasionally even 10+ years after the game was mostly dead.

As a kid Paper Mario 2 was my favorite game at the time, but everyone I showed it to hated it and thought it was boring. I expected as much from my siblings, but every single friend I had was completely uninterested in it.

Star Wars Obi-wan Kenobi for the Gameboy Color.
I remember it being somewhat fun.
The cartridge died abnormally quickly (like just a year or two out of the box). I assume it was the internal battery or something.
I kept it in my game case for years for literally no reason and that's probably the only reason why I even remember it.

That fucking DJ game that came with my Golden Grahams when I was 11. It was like a shitty DAW with premade soundeffects that you could arrange and make your own music. It was glorious. If it's your first time I'd give the Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance series a try.

Baldurs Gate is set in a D&D world
Champions of Norrath is Everquest world.

IIRC Champions had a little bit more content but honestly anon it's been forever since I've played them. On the upside they both have sequels. Also depends if you'd have someone able to play with you. Baldurs Gate I think was locked in for 2 players, but with Champions you'd be able to have 4 players if you have the multitap.

D&D Heroes was released on Xbox only, and the classes were unbalanced. It had interesting character level up customization though.

Hunter the Reckoning was cheesy but enjoyable. That series has 3 installments so plenty to go around.

Played the fuck out of the PS1 version. Still play it every year or two. Bought the PS2 version which has a different name for some reason recently. You can't win tickets on sideshows anymore which makes camcorder mode kinda pointless. Comfy as fuck, and loved the narrator/hint guy's voice and music.

It is actually quite good, rather than just copy the movie they went with their own prequal of sorts.
Looks decent, plenty of content with some nice melee combat, racing and good location variety considering it's all sand and wasteland.
Suffers a bit from the open-world trope of dotting the map with 101 side-activites but wasn't quite Ubisoft bad.

Playing ZX Advent after ZX, I can say ZX is the better overall game, but ZXA was still fun. You don't really see a whole lot of people mention it. Its a shame the 3rd game they hinted at the end of ZXA was never actually made. I don't know exactly what they would've done with it, but so long as it didn't have as many gimmicky transformations like ZXA, I think it would've been fun.

Everybody hates this game for some reason. I feel alone when i say that it was well worth the wait (9ish years).

It seems as if everybody was expecting a Shadow of the Colossus 2, or something of that caliber of action, leading to their own disappointment.

I honestly just enjoy a good story. The music was GOAT as well.

I mean there's lots of stuff before there was internet or before i used it all day every day. games I found in shops that no one i knew heard of, and maybe magazines didn't review that well. my own personal hidden gems. It's different with internet perspective though, like they don't count because maybe they were actually pretty popular / successful, but i didn't know at the time.
