Will it be the greatest Musou game to date and for years to come or will Koei fall on their faces with the ambitions they have set for themselves? I'm afraid it will be boring shit with huge swathes of empty land with nothing in it and with no feeling that the world you are trying to conquer is "alive".

It's going to be garbage. At best it will mehdiocre. Muh open world is a fucking meme and I still can't believe even Musou fell for it. Half the cast is clones because in true open world style, gameplay is deemed not important. There's an unnecessary crafting system literally no one asked for. The world is going to be empty and lifeless 99% of the time. The only life will be in cities where peasant NPCs will tell you the same line of dialogue. Nothing to do in these cities besides run through them. You won't be able to enter houses. There are no caves, dungeons, or the like. It's just a big open plain of nothing. Open world doesn't work for games not centered on exploration. It just becomes a chore.
