I keep lying to myself and telling myself I'll record a few videos. People generally like playing with me and think I'm pretty funny. Multiple people have told me I should start a channel. My excuse used tovbe that I didn't have a good enough computer. I've had my new rig for oved two years now. There's no real excuse. That's something I think I'm struggling with the most.
I'm banking on my editing to be my stand out feature.
A lot of channels either over-use editing effects without much thought for how visuals should flow in a video or just don't do much.

Probably Siege or OW as a go-to thing to start streams with, then switch over to a wider variety of things. I'm considering Dead Space, SCP Containment Breach, Telltale's Batman (Season 2, maybe 1 if people want me to replay it), Broodwar Co-op and Golf with Friends, just to start things off for the first while.

I disagree. You can always take a completely different critical lens on something. If anything I'd say that there are a lot of games for which opinion so positively one-sided that nobody ever looks at what's wrong with the game or why it doesn't work.

Look at Undertale, for instance. We don't really see a lot of really constructive criticism of that game. It's pretty much universally loved as the indie underdog or blindly hated by people who dislike fandoms/furries. Very few videos that really take an interesting look at it from a critical standpoint.

I don't mind it really since everything is still in the same place. Nothing compared to that day when they changed it to what it is now that threw the community way off. Couldn't reply to comments before the update, trying to force Google+ onto people, was difficult to navigate that it felt like a completely different website. Luckily people were able to adapt and this update was more of a makeover like they're trying to compete with fucking Twitter. I don't like it but it doesn't bother me too much. Plus they added a dark theme so that's cool.

Only reason I would want to make YouTube videos is to make informative videos on things I'm passionate about. I don't care about making money or anything, but being able to provide information to an interested wider audience who wouldn't otherwise be able to learn it is cool. I would seriously like to be another pannenkoek2012 or something, but for other games. Maybe start a website and get more people wanting to do the same thing as me and contribute to that website until you basically knew absolutely everything about every game ever.

Sony Vegas is basically what everyone uses, that or Adobe Premiere. I personally use Adobe Premiere just because it's easier to work with After Effects IMO. After Effects is just basically adding cool shit to your clips.
Just do whatever you want for your vids man, it's your channel.
For PC, just use Nvidia Shield, or OBS Studio. For console, try to find an Elgato HD, one of the newer models.
