Anyone else miss Vanguard: Saga of Heroes?
I had so much fun in it.
Don't mind me. Just posting a superior Vanguard game

Red pill me.

V:SoH was a MMO with a lot more depth than most at the time. There was worldbuilding, player crafted housing/communities, diplomacy that involved intricate dealing with NPC factions in negotiations, shipbuilding, all kinds of stuff. Unfortunately, SOE being SOE forced them to launch early, so there were a metric fuckton of bugs. They got it ironed out after about half a year of really dedicated patching, but it was already too late, and it never really recovered.

Damn. That sounds awesome.

How triggered are you right now?
The emu never came to fruition? They used to post updates to the p99 forums when working on it.

Skip Vanguard and wait for Pantheon Rise of the Fallen if it ever releases. Same creator as Vanguard and Everquest. Vanguard always ran like hot garbage even though it had some great ideas.
I don't miss vanguard per se, but I do miss ambitious MMOs.

The only thing I remember this game for was the furry races and being flooded with furry niggers because of it.
There was the wolf-kin, the fox-kin, and the lion-kin.
You just need wolves and foxes and you have it SOLD with furfags.

How long is the wait going to be exactly??? Is it even fucking worth it at this moment?
When Everquest Next shatted itself back in the beginning of 2016, the developers of Pantheon said that they were going to release a alpha/beta testing soon in a span of a few months.
It's been a year and a half later.

I think It's out, absurdly low pop though.
>>388618441
>Unity engine
How's the emulator coming along?
>>388620334
>low pop
That's only because the developers are retarded asking for a pledge fee just to take part in the alpha-testing, which they are demanding TWO HUNDRED FIFTY or VIP ACCESS ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS A MONTH for.

Sadly this. The resurgence of hardcore MMOs won't be until late 2018-2020. We have to wait for shit like Pantheon, Age of Camelot, Crowfall, and other kickstarter shit to start coming out.
>>388620678
Hahaha, wow. That's genuinely insane. Don't they realize they'd get way more money by charging a normal monthly fee?
>>388620494
Slowly. I have no idea why they're not updating their news and making the project seem inactive.
>>388621054
Holy shit just checked for myself since I've been wanting to get back on Vanguard. 3 fucking years and mobs still only use auto-attacks and no skills past level 10 work. God damn I'll be playing Pantheon before I can even do fuck all in Vanguard.
>>388618441
>mfw entering a building in Vanguard and game turns into a literal slideshow
I mean shit, entire seamless world with enterable buildings was impressive as fuck, but technology for it was simply not there yet.
>>388621226
>tfw will never get a Breathe of the Wild world +Actual dungeons with Vanguard MMO elements to play with 6man party groups
>>388621226
I just find it sad MMOs have taken a complete opposite from Vanguard's direction by going with smaller zones with player number caps and multiple layers of the same zone to facilitate higher number of people. Vanguard is probably the only MMORPG I can remember that suffered from having a world that was TOO BIG for its own good and low population didn't help.
>>388620738
I wish hardcore didn't seem to also mean no interesting races. All humans always sucks.
>>388621226
Wasn't SWG the same way with no issues outside of massive PvP gatherings?
