I still don't understand how they managed to fuck up Rebirth in the first place. They didn't have to do an overhaul like they did. Just improve on what they had.

as someone who used to browse the egosoft forums daily, they were pretty damn vague about what the game was supposed to be, they'd hint at X3 features like still being able to control other ships and own huge fleets, but never elaborate on specific mechanics. it all felt really misleading the way they marketed it.

my hopes are high. x3 was seriously the best space sandbox game i had ever played, X:R was a disaster but its really obvious the team has learned from their mistake and want to rectify it and give fans the game they wanted, not some console focused spin off. lets just hope they can pull it off.

at least it taught me to never preorder and always wait for reviews. a valuable lesson

is it like in Mount and Blade where you can visit the actual Armorer in town, but you can just access the shop via an overworld menu if you don't feel like walking?

Egosoft's shilling of X: Rebirth at release was even worse than the lies from No Man's Sky.

I'm willing to take a look at this but I'm not holding my breath.

So every ship has a unique interior? That sounds like a limiting factor for modders. I remember mods like XRM, Xtended and Cadius having 100+ ships. Does that mean modders will have to make individual interiors for each one?
