If it plays smoothly on PC when it launches and has the gameplay and level design quality of Dishonored 2, it'll be nothing short of great.

I think the story has jumped the shark pretty hard since the comic, and since this Billie Lurk is the comic Billie I expect the game to continue this trend, especially given what the game is going to be about.
And it's going to end with you going back in time and retconning the entire series by preventing the Outsider's creation and it's so obvious that it's the lazy writing mechanic they're going to do. They made a point of establishing that Billie can time travel and they made a point of establishing how the Outsider was created, it's clear what they're going to do. Especially when as is the Outsider is basically immortal and all-seeing so naturally they'll just stop him from happening.
But the story has still gone so downhill that it's hard to care. The time travel multiverse shit really was not needed and retconning an entire series is lazy.

Take Nadine from Uncharted Lost Legacy for example. She is hands down the worst and most pointless character in Uncharted 4.
Chloe on the other hand most people have no issues with.

The comics and the novel are canon. They came out before the Dishonored 2 game and gave us introduction on characters that appeared in that game.

I quite liked the novel. The comics were lame, though.

Originally I was bummed out that we won't get to play as Daud, but I'm beginning to come to terms with it. It looks like we'll get some intresting powers and the dishonored 2 gameplay is at least on par with 1 if not even better. If it's anything like the original DLCs then we could see a better story than in the base game as well.

Regarding Billie, she's obviously isn't supposed to be attractive. She was pretty ugly already when she was young in dishonored 1 and now she's older and scarred.

Im not very interested because i found dishonored 2 very dry. I preferred the nitty gritty atmosphere of dunwall to the newer sunny continent. I didn't care for any characters other than corvo and emily (who themselves are fairly simple characters), and Billy had less personality than Samuel. I don't care if she's black or a woman, she simply has nothing going for her. Daud was somewhat interesting because he was the bad guy living with regrets, and there is no need to continue whats already been tried.

Also why would Arkane want to kill off the Outsider in the cannon? Hes a decent gman character with no real enemies.

Hes just a spaceman who gives people powers cos hes bored, there is no real motivation to kill him.

You have to remember that Daud is a regretful man. In his mind a person like his younger self, a killer, should never have gotten those kinds of powers. He doesn't blame the outsider for everything, he blames himself for being the kind of man he once was, and he blames the outsider for handing that kind of man immense power.
