Dont look them up then

explain.
Try playing FFXI without a wiki. Shits impossible.

How so?

no op classes and builds that you are required to follow or you get shit on for not following the meta is what ruins mmorpgs. that and erping.
mmos existing ruined mmos
there was only a very brief period where they were good
The only way forward for MMOs is for any new one to pretend the old ones never existed.
It was an inevitability. MMO players are still the same nerds since the DnD, Warhammer and board game days telling of things they found out on the internet from obscure fansites in the earlier days of the internet. Those RPG fans skill, commitment and play style are all across the gaming spectrum, not necessarily automatically gaming masters. Some are the worst casuals who don't take any part in not being completely shit, caring only about their own experience. Some literally commit everything in them into the game and push themselves even harder like their bodies as disposable; an autistic physical feat of strength. Both of which are prone to using wikis.
>tfw wikis ruined mmorpgs games forever
That's subjective as fuck when you consider it's always been like this in varying degrees. Each time they changed it, somebody's experience was ruined.
Remember when everyone would follow the crafting compass guide in FFXI like a fucking handbook because some random people started to spread rumors and tales of mystery to be like this and after a while people started getting results and going "ZOMG, IT REALLY IS TRUE"?
This shit went on from the start of the game until LAST YEAR when one of the developers confirmed that it wasn't a fucking thing.

hence, wikis didn't ruin MMOs
datamining did
and players
and developers
and solo gameplay tilting
and the internet
and everything else
