I thought the twist at the end was predicable was fuck, literally called it the moment the bad guy was introduced and he said his name, but when the mechs started coming out I just about lost all interest. I didn't play this for mechshit.

Everyone graduates early except Rean, who is now a pawn of the government, political tensions are now even more fucked because Erebonia has now annexed Crossbell and has regained the military might it had before the 100 Days War, and Osborne is "hijacking" the Phantasmal Blaze plan (whatever that means). It was cool fighting the White Shadow, but even the White Shadow admitted that killing it would do nothing.

Next to nothing is actually resolved.

I always used Elliot and Emma as a healer with some DPS arts and in terms of that, Elliot blows Emma out the water IMO. His crafts are just way better than Emma's. I like that Emma can analyze by default and her revive craft can be handy but I only put one mage in my party and I take Elliot any day of the week over Emma. I always felt somewhat handicapped when Elliot wasn't around, he's just that good.

I always do 2 melee characters, a ranged character and a mage. I like Alisa over the Machias because S-craft spam meme and because Machias is just irredeemably complete garbage for 90% of the game then at the end he becomes good but I've invested too much into Alisa to care at that point. Alisa is also really fast and doubles as a decent spellcaster. My melee characters, I juggle around all the time. I really like Fie because her speed is insane and you can make her really evasive too, she's probably the 'best' melee character for general mobs. Laura is better for bossing most times I think but I'm not a big Laura guy.

I haven't played enough with Jusis to make a judgement call on him but I've heard he's pretty strong if used right. Gaius is pretty broken too since you can spam his S-craft forever if you feel like it.

The true twist of CS3 will be:

The player characters will actually get to win a legitimate boss fight without having someone stronger leap in after the battles ended and actually defeat person/thing they'd been fighting.

I love these asshurt CS haters. And most of the time they are Ao/Zero shitters. Reminder that Japan likes CS and Rean far more than Crossbell games or Lloyd. I hope you guys enjoy more Rean in CS3 :^)

FC drops a few subtle hints here and there, but otherwise across FC Joshua is one half of a duo, following Estelle's lead but helping her when she inevitably stumbles in her gung-ho ways. This is something I don't get about the games post-Sky. Why bother with the harems/pick-your-waifu? Lloyd has Elie, Noel, Fran, Rixia, etc. Rean has Alisa, Fie, Laura, Claire, Elise, Emma, etc. Yet these games have implied love interests with Rean X Alisa and Lloyd X Elie. Were people just REALLY angry with Estelle X Joshua to the point that Falcom had to flat out stop canon pairings? I mean, if a canon pairing is implied, I think Falcom should at least have the balls to make a canon pairing instead of jerking the player around.
