What's you reaction to the last video game you played?
Meh.
Been playing Tales of Symphonia HD, but I can't seem to get sucked into it. I've been juggling that, suikoden 1, breath of fire 4, and possibly starting a new run of persona 3.
Mother 3
>>388601548
Suikoden is a great game, pretty underrated thanks to its sequel. But Suikoden 2 is somehow so much better if you're willing to give it a long time to play through it slowly

Took my clothes off and went to the store, obviously putting them back on before I departed, I can't roam around in the nude. I needed lightbulbs and cat food and toilet paper and garbage bags. Before I could get them, though, ran into one of those roving masseuse tablegirls. I wasn't fooled, I know they cut legholes in those tables and conceal them with blankets so the second you lie down they can slip into them and hold your head down with their thighs. After that, I just returned home.

Endless Space 2
>when the fuck are they going to add fighters and bombers
>why the hell is the AI so hostile
>someone always wins before we can get to any of the cool shit
>the diplomacy screen always causes my computer to freeze and there's this weird pink dot graphical glitch during the battles
>the aesthetics are nice though
>the different factions are all fun to play and very varied as well
I'm starting to get glad /v/ convinced me to give Alien Isolation another shot. It's tough for me to play such stressful games but the atmosphere and design is pulling me back. Fuck crafting though.
>Destiny
It can be fun at times but the music is boring as shit. It's gonna take me forever to get to level 40, I don't think I'm gonna make it before Destiny 2 comes out.
Also Mars is awesome

Run trough Glider 4.0 for the first time.
Man this game is 100% comfy. Almost magical, because heavy storm came right when I start playing.
>Destiny 2
Mostly just because of incompetent teammates, quitters during comp matches on my team, and getting matched into games with a premade group of 4 and getting stomped.
>Playing Uncharted The Lost Legacy
>Don't have all the update files downloaded
>Watch the game jump between Triple A budget animation and a t-pose puppet show with zero voices
Fallout 2
Fun, but doesn't really hook me the way 1 did. Also, it has an EXTREMELY annoying bug where it freezes about 3 enemy movements into combat until the turn is over. I tried fixing this in the ini (there's an option that specifically says it will fix it) but that didn't work. I even have an unofficial patch installed.

Playing Path of Exile and looking at the literal vendor trash that people be linking on chat asking "is this good?" The game itself is fun but full of people who think their act 1 trash is somehow worth keeping. If you have to ask then it isn't.
I just finished Ninja Gaiden Black. One of the all time greats for action games, I still like one or two other titles more but NGB is excellent regardless

Re:COM
They turned a relatively humble charming game into a lazy tedious mess. Adding a third dimension led to a lot of unnecessary frustration. Terrible lock-on system and terrible encounter system. Also it's incredibly easy to break. Sonic Blade, sleights in general, duels, etc. I guess some of the cutscenes are cool but it's clear the story was not written to be fully voiced or animated, there are many many awkward moments. COM left a lot to the imagination and did more with less.

Yeah, but think about it for a moment. You think masturbating isn't hard, but objectively speaking, masturbation involves a very complex physiological system that includes the prefrontal cortex associated with the limbic system in order to execute and enjoy the masturbation, the precentral and postcentral gyri for movement and sensation respectively, the integration of the stumuli received by the retina through the association fibers of the white matter that connect the occipital cortex with the parietal cortex, the temporal lobe and the neocortex of the cerebellum to recall the stereotypical, coordinated, and repetitive movements required to reach orgasm, which is mediated by the in crescendo contractions of the ischiocavernosus and bulbospongiosus muscles coordinated by the sympathetic branch of the autonomous nervous system.

GTA Online
This game is bullshit and I refuse to backtrack and grind since the devs can't pace character progression properly.
Darkest Dungeon.
It's time to work up the nerve to tackle the Darkest Dungeon itself, but I am 2scare.
>Path of Exile
I'm up to Red Maps and I feel only the endless churning of lousy uniques and middling rares beneath my heels. So many garbage level 10 things should not drop in a red map.
>>388605442
>white matter
heh
>>388605617
>grinding in Lost Odyssey
Ok, 1st, the game puts soft level caps per zone and it's quite easy to hit them.
Fights start awarding only a single exp point. If that's happening you're expected to be able to steamroll the content you're in.
So grinding isn't much of an option.
2nd, the game has an inverse difficulty curve, Immortal party members scale up in power way faster than fight do, so if you make it past the first 2 bosses (which are pretty tough) it's all smooth sailing.
There's one poorly designed late game boss, but it can't really kill you, it just takes for fucking ever to beat.
>>388605936
I looked at a walkthrough and it said I was underleveled and mentioned a bunch of skills I didn't have and which none of the items I had gave.

>>388600959
>What's you reaction to the last video game you played?
Buyer's remorse.
How exactly are you meant to enjoy Death Road to Canada?
A single run to Canada or wherever appears to take like more than twice as long as a run of Oregon Trail or FTL. All the different perks and traits you get for your characters, while changing some aspects, barely appears to actually affect how you actually play the game.
Combat is super dull and yet it's everywhere.
Seeing my characters insult and make fun of each other or everything all the time as they travel grew old fast.
I wish I could refund it.
>>388605242
Same. My favorite area is Toussaint though, I just love the aesthetic and the more positive and pleasant vibes in the area.
>Dead by Daylight
Maybe its because I'm an old man but I don't get the whole "stick around when the game is over just to be an asshole" thing people do, its worst in DBD because the game doesn't end till the last person leaves, so if the game went badly for you you'll always have people sticking around, making noise and teabagging at the exit, or just drawing your attention so they can see your epic teabag, same with ones that do it when they're at the hatch.
If I lose, I lose no big deal, but fuck off and let me get to my next match, maybe I'm just retarded and a modicum of respect for my opponent, I'll just leave when the match is over, then again its the devs fault for not adding a timer when the game is over.

Bought the game 2 days ago and I'm not sure if it's for me. The whole story is nice and mysteryous but i've never been into medieval fantasy to be honest, It just doesn't appeal to me and despite the Game has done cool visuals It just doesn't hold up for me...
Then the control, i Don't like them. It feels like theyre made that way on purpose and they wouldn't be any better if they were Arkham Assylum boring easiness, but they just feel slow and cheap.
I've been dying dozen times and having to repeat the same part(a sort of abandoned Castle set of stairs that lead me to a Big ass minotaur) and my interest is dying each time, Don't know if by getting gud i'll get more into it
>>388606617
When you're done exploring and just want to get to a boss, try running past all the basic enemies and rushing to the fog door. It's a lot easier than you'd think.
>Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Justice For All
>>388606617
I gave up at that exact part on my first playthrough. Didn't pick it up again for eight months, and when I did it quickly became my favorite game I'd ever played
The trick is to really loosen up and experiment. Experiment with your loadout, strategy, movements, whatever. You'll eventually find something that really clicks
You're probably going to end up using a guide anyways, so I'll just tell you about that boss:take all of your armor off to allow yourself to run faster. first kill the archers, then trigger the demon, then run back up the ladder, and do a plunging attack. Lure him back out as far as you can, get him to trigger an attack, run back, repeat. Practice rolling to avoid his attacks if you get stuck, it'll save your life
>>388606732
>>388606870
Will try these things, I really wanna give this another chance
But fuck I wish the controls were as smooth as the ones in the Yakuza games
>>388607128
I hope you're using a controller
The controls will click for you real soon and leaving you wishing more games had them.
I tried to start a replay of Pokemon Platinum, but I'm not feeling it. Sinnoh's always been whatever for me. Kinda want to play an EO, not sure if I should replay EO3 to actually get the True Ending this time, or finally play through EOU's Story Mode. Also I want to buy one of the newest Tamagotchi, the M!X. I've been putting that off for like a year.
DOOM 2016 having so much fun, one of my favourite games from now on.

This game just makes me Happy, it's playbility just clicks me. Gonna start soon a more complicated playthrough with more dynasties and this time i'm sticking to finally getting into politics (I always end Up just achieving total control of a certain monopolium in the town i.e running the most succesful and only inn around these lands)
Makes me wish for a more modern versión, that lets you build night clubs and run illegal actions behind Doors, and you'll have to put your character in a limo to visit each night said business

Dishonored 2 is hard for me to enjoy. Emily feels like shit to play, but the story is better from her perspective. I've already restarted once to play as Corvo instead but can't decide if I want to go back to Emily. Other than that, the game is alright. It is making me want to play Arc Fatalis again.

Depends on what you expect out of it. I love sci-fi, space, and survival horror and I finally got a game that has those elements with ambient background music only where it's necessary and it isn't Dead Space so it's a second coming to me. I heard the unpredictable AI mod is great but since I am a console peasant I sadly won't get to play it (soon anyway). Hard difficulty is more fun to go through the game because the enemies are actually dangerous and the alien can hear you well but medium is more realistic in the alien behavior so I have to compromise between those and I hate that. Also NPCs all seem to share animation model which feels out of place. Still easily a 9/10 game for me and playing it feels like it was done with love.
Similar game with more interesting story but shit gameplay is SOMA which is another game I have no problem shilling for free because the atmosphere and story is just that good and it also explores the fact it's a video game to achieve things not possible in other media.
