And quite frankly I'm getting similar NieR vibes from the whole thing with how PC isn't listed as one of the platforms in the trailers while in other cross-platform titles like Ace Combat 7, it is listed.

If you wanna try the older ones, I VEHEMENTLY recommend you start with Portable 3rd for the PSP, which you can play with PPSSPP. And the reason for it is because it is the easiest one (imo), while it looks good and it's actually easy to understand, despite being fan translated only. It also will only go through Low Rank on Village Quests, but if you've reached that point then you should try Freedom Unite.

Well, LBG is ridiculously flexible and the users have super human aim and reflexes so they never get carted or even touched in the entire hunt, only complain is that they are almost non existent.

HBG kills stuff before the stuff can kill them so they are cool to have around.

Bow users just cart because they run out of stamina and can't evade, they also do only tingles to the monster in terms of damage, hell even LBG do more damage than most bows, unless the bow user is using "that one bow that is the only useful bow in the whole game", they also have shit aim and fuck over swordmasters with their stupid special shots.

Now everytime you hit the right note the song goes in a list and is "saved" for later use. The list has 3 songs max and you can choose which one to recite with a combination of R2 + triangle/circle.

You can also recite immediatly after a recital (not encore, just two/three recital one after another) and encore supposedly boost all songs you recited in a row.

Skills activate at +10 or -10. You have to equip armor pieces that add those skills. So if you have, say sharpeness +9, that's doing nothing for you, you need 10.
