Why do we wanna kill the Outsider? He seems like a decent enough guy and he doesn't particulary enjoy awful shit either.

He gives his power to the people who need it, it is not his fault some of them decide to be assholes about it. In fact, he always "evens" things out by giving his powers to an equalizer whenever someone he has chosen becomes evil and starts fucking around.

When Daud used his powers to become an assassin, he gave powers to Corvo to balance the board and give him an actual chance.

When Delillah first started with her crazy plans, in his own way, the Outsider guided Daud to stop her.

When she came back and started fucking about, taking the throne, theh Outsider once more stepped up to even the playing field by giving powers to Corvo/Emily.

Blaming him for all the shit things that happen in the world is unfair.

The other DLC is a continuation of the first one, so you might as well get it. It's just as good.

Dishonored 2 is pretty good as far as gameplay goes, but when it comes to story and characters it feels weaker than the first one. You'd think this shouldn't matter, but it really affects your judgement when you're deciding whether to kill a target or not. At least for me. D2 is a lot of fun but killing some of the targets made no fucking sense at all, and others were too stupidly evil not to kill.
Also, the Hounds Pub shits all over the boat you get in D2. The boat is completely inferior in all ways to the point where I don't know why they did it.

As much as I liked the Knife of Dunwall and the Brigmore Witches, I hated that they required you to have waypoint markers on sometimes to find certain things. Sometime the game just gives you no direction on what you're supposed to do in a scripted scene because it assumes you have some big objective marker telling you where to go and what to do. I got really confused at the very end of Knife of Dunwall because I had turned off objective markers and couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do.

The people who made the DLC for Dishonored 1 made the new Prey. I would highly recommend anyone check that out, I actually liked it more than either of the two Dishonored games.

Dishonored 2 is written with Emily in mind, she has an actual arc and Delilah, Duke Abele and Meagan Foster are all good foils for her. To be fair the entire comic series was written horribly, there is basically no conclusion to the plot and I'll be shocked if Cottings shows up ever again. The art was the only redeeming quality, some of it was sloppy and confusing but some of it is really cool

I can't stand it, it's painfully slow, the level design isn't interesting enough to actually accomodate interesting planning, any ambush you make will be something that was predesigned by the devs, not something you come up with originally because you can't move around any of the hackables, and the skilltrees and weapons are just ridiculously dull.

The one thing I thought would be easiest to improve over SS1 and 2 was the combat, and they still managed to make it even worse.

I played SS2 and then jumped to Bioshock last year. It was jarring to see how dumbed down Bioshock is, probably my biggest frustration was the lack of a proper inventary system. I'm playing through SS1 for the first time now, and while I can see why people would find it clunky, I'm loving it.

I think SS1 is much better than SS2. I'm convinced all the people who shit on it have never given it a fair shake. SS2's much touted RPG elements pale in comparison to a metroid style structure like SS1. I really don't think RPG elements added much to SS2, that game is carried by its audio and level design for me.

It's debatable. As much as I love SS1, there are some areas that have really "gamey" level design, which flies in the face of what immersive sims usually go for. One of my favorite moments in the game is the result of a huge ramp being part of a storage area for seemingly no reason.
