The first two routes are basically buildup for the other two, since in the first one the MC doesn't even face the Battalion Commanders and in the other one they're severely gimped, backstabbed and saved by a third party and Mercurius's intervention (and Reinhard still kicks their asses at half power).

Marie is basically when Reinhard's keikaku just goes as planned and Rea's is everything going down the shitter for both parties and facing the true antagonist of the story.

Nah, the whole ending with Marie feels like something was missing for a truly satisfying conclusion (even Japan agrees, since the first reléase of the visual novel only had Kasumi and Marie's routes). Also it gave us Wilhelm vs Schreiber, which was fucking awesome.

Ren vs Reinhard vs Mercurius (as well as Reinhard vs Mercurius)remains as one of the most iconic in all it's médium in my eyes and I doubt any other chuuni moment will top in terms of buildup and scale.

Rea's is the true ending because is the most conclusive since is the one where Reinhard finally achieves the pinnacle of it's power and faces a being that is equal to it's own, which is what he was craving all along, as well as Mercurius meeting his end at the hands of the goddess he always wished to be embraced by, giving the throne to her.

The apoptosis killing it's host in the end is also one of the recurrive themes the games alures for a while, and it only happens in Rea's route.

Fate has a shitload of asspulls and very mediocre writing, but I don't argue about it because I like the worldbuilding and setting, which carries the work for me, so no.

The only thing I didn't like from Seinarukana was that they dropped the entire plot around Spirits where they just became grunt fodder, and now instead of controlling an army you were controlling a bunch of snowflake RPG members instead. The Spirits from Aselia were bland but they had a personality. I liked that approach.

On the other end, Seinarukana had much better combat in all regards and the story was so much better. Visiting parallel universes inside a highschool strapped to the back of a magical flying whale(with the whole student body still inside the school) was crazy enough for me to fall in love with.

Yeah but there is a patch that fixes most of the problems and it is readable. I'd say that it still needs a proper re-translation though because it's honestly very good and deserves better than what it got.
