FGO is fundamentally flawed as a business. You draw the gacha for characters but you only need 5 solid ones to complete all content. Once you get a good group you're set for life. No need to spend money.

Also, the localization sucks since the translations are awful and they didn't even translate the voice parts. Having your anime waifus come to life and talk to you is kind of the entire point of why you're supposed to play.

FGO and FEH hands out free units but only FEH gives feathers for doing nothing for ranking up garbage. FGO only has a few grails in NA so you can't go full retard with an army of shit units. I feathered the Askr trio in FEH to 5 stars and while they are garbage it's fun to mess around. Now I have another 60,000 feathers to make a good team or level some favorites. FGO I have to use Herc cuz the other low tier units can't be level broken without grails

PvP suffers from meme team dominance as of now (namely Cavalry starring Quickened Pulse Reinhardt), but other than that you're really not all that incapable of catching up. Just be sure to do the Xander/Ursula/Camus Grand Hero Battles if/when they reappear again, as they unironically comprise roughly 3/4ths of a great Cavalry team, and all you have to do to get them is complete their GHBs.
PvP is against AI, and it's generally pretty simple to exploit once you get the hang of it.

The most you'll be missing out on now is some limited holiday units, and they're by no means required for playing through the game right now (though some certainly help).
If you're rerolling, remember that stat spreads/IVs are a thing, and the best way to check is if a unit is at Level 1 or Level 40. Generally, +Atk or +Spd are the best boons, and likewise are typically the worst banes, so if you're going to really be autistic on rerolling, keep that in mind.

Potentially infinite depending on who you want. You get 1 ticket and 3~ quartz a week for doing the weekly missions. That means 2 rolls a week, which is more generous than some other mobage. However this is counterbalanced by the atrocious rates - a 4* is 4% and a 5* is 1%. Unless you spend money you'll most likely be playing with 3*s and welfare 4*s your entire time.
