Now, call me a fag or what you will for enjoying this game or even a weeb.

The creator of Yume Nikki has been silent for 10 whole years, there's no way they wouldn't have noticed it's overwhelming explosion by now.
It may not have blown up here but it sure as hell did in Japan, where Kikiyama is from, it climbed to number 3 of most downloaded software in japan at one point.
Any speculation on what may have happaned, or perhaps evidence of them still being out there? or is it best to just assume they're dead?

He hasn't been exactly silent, amiami got in touch with him for a deal so they would be able to sell yume nikki things. There was also that manga deal and if I'm not mistaken there was even a meet and greet with him..

He had an idea, he did it, and it was done.

That it was great doesn't mean he has another idea in him. Sometimes people don't. Why does he have to be "out there"? Can't he just be back to installing Toyota doors or sorting mail or managing finances or whatever it is he does? Can't Yume Nikki just be what it is, without its creator being "a name" that has relevance in the world of vidya?
