But I can't - retroarch and subtle scan lines is all I use. Hooked it up to hyper spin with all art work etc. and never looked back.

It has cores for most if not all the best emulators out there. Easier to use things like Mednafen or Higan through it then their actual executables.
Also RetroArch itself is less the actual emulator and instead more of just a GUI system for the LibRetro API.

Well, it´s kind of a pain in the ass to set up and it´s annoying as fuck that it´s so picky with ps1 disc files. Only .cue/.bin allowed and if the emulator doesn´t like the dump it will just crash the whole program, plus you have to hunt down some bit perfect dumps of bios files before you can do anything.

Still, once it is finally set up it´s still the best. Just wish it would be a bit more user friendly
