I'm interested in knowing how they've held up too. If nothing else I do recommend you play the original Xenoblade Chronicles. Best way to do that is to emulate it on Dolphin so you can experience it at a decent resolution (and with an HD texture pack if you feel like it).

Yeah, it really depends on the game though. The way they showed off Metroid during the Treehouse was great, instantly sold me on the game after the ugly trailer. But Xenoblade was just a confusing mess during E3.

The Gamescom trailer was a bit better, if only because they didn't kill every enemy before they could do a combo or even use an art, but it still wasn't great and a lot of fun things weren't touched on. The terrible stream-quality didn't help either.

Is it just me or were the enemies they showed off not very threatening at all? As in, they did pretty shitty damage, even the unique monster. The guy playing did say however that one of the human driver enemies killed in him 3 hits and was a similar level, so let's hope for a good challenge
