I think you're misunderstanding something important here. The sounds themselves aren't inherently relaxing. A lot of what triggers ASMR can be considered irritating or annoying to some people. The sensations those sounds cause in turn causes relaxation. There's a step in the middle you're missing and it's the most important part.
