Do you listen to reviews before you buy game?
Everyone knows reviewers are retarded, Uzume.

no, I pirate them as I haven't found a reviewer who likes the same games as me
I give them some consideration, at least.

If I'm considering buying a game, I make a post on /v/ about how shit the game is, then I wait for people to show up and defend it.
If a fanbase can't come up with a consistent defense for their game, then odds are that it really is trash. I buy if the fans can articulate their thoughts on it.

is that a motherfucking nep I see?
I didn't read the reviews for the Silent Hill HD Collection before I bought it.

I go on Amazon and look for the lowest reviews possible, while ignoring the ones that mention how horrendous their shipping quality is.

Genius
>>388461252
No, but I'll watch some uncut gameplay footage or a stream first to see what the minute-to-minute gameplay is like.
Only technical reviews to avoid bugged games.

Anon, with how many games turned out mediocre and boring, most people will not defend them.

I watch/read a few reviews to get a general idea about a game. If there's any game breaking bug or terrible performance or other issue it'll pop up there.
I mostly play obscure niche Japanese games so it's not like those will ever get a fair review anyway so I mostly ignore review scores.
>>388461252
fuck no
i only play a handful of games now away so they're games i already know

Her default outfit and her weapon of choice look dumb. There I said it.

To get a gauge on technical issues, absolutely, though not "pro" reviews.
Player reviews will out shit performance, pathetic options, broken graphics, etc, and that shit's usually good to know and can save you some money when the same game pros are calling "visually stunning" and a "tour de force" is revealed to run like dogshit for 80% of customers.
When I'm in doubt, yes, when we are talking nepus, I've already bought them
