I got it as part of a Humble Monthly Bundle, it's alright. The physics are pretty fun to mess with, the visuals are nice to look at, and the flares are an interesting addition, but the music gets a bit overbearing at parts and the autosave system can be a bit of a pain.

If it's less than $8 I'd say it's worth buying.

The game got a shit ton of patches since its release.
Anyone who played it when it was still just a free mod knows that the AI is cheap as fuck and a lot of sections of levels were missing.

I really enjoy it, especially with the shitload of atmospheric mods out there

Free version is still the 2012 Beta I believe, which lacks a chunk of the Surface Tension chapter, a few models/sound effects/dialogue lines are outdated, lighting is a tiny bit worse, no online multiplayer, a few glitches, etc.

Also the paid version is getting Xen in December
