I don't think Halo is big enough to pull off a Fallout 4 where they announce it at E3 and release in a few months after. Also take the fact that Bonnie Ross said that every Halo game will have a beta. Halo 5's beta came out almost a year before the full launch of the game.

I doubt they would do a late release with Halo in spring, so in all reality, it's announced next year at E3 or some event, and rushed to release during the holiday season in 2018.
We still have over a full year until then, I think that's a pretty realistic launching point.
If they miss that though, holiday 2019 for sure.

But Microsoft needs 1st party titles for X1X year one. They can't afford to waste that time.

If not Halo 5 than SOMETHING halo related, and they're run out of bullshit to throw at us, we got ODST MCC and Reach backwards compat last year, we got Halo Wars 2 and Halo 3/CEA/ODST backward compat this year.

Reach would've had better gameplay purely on enemy and weapon veriety if they didn't do the fucking "invincible ally" meme continued in Halo 5. Makes it too fucking easy, there's literally sections on legendary where you don't even need to play.

Noble Team was a fucking mistake, should've just done a soul survivor SIII and stop with the fucking heroic death contest. This only works if the characters are fucking interesting enough to care about. I mean they just throw in SIII's without any backstory or explanation, despite it being cool as fuck and debatably the best Spartan program.
Instead I care more deeply about the generic marines, and get more emotionally distraught if they die.
