And how much does that thing cost? I've only seen the Razer core but as I recall it's $500 or so and doesn't come with a graphics card. You can get a 7700K + mobo + ram for that price and then you won't be bottlenecked by your shitty laptop CPU or PCIe 4x speeds.

I bought an alien ware laptop in 2010 for 2k. It was nice and cool looking and worked well. A few months after i realize i payed almost 600$ more then what a desktop of the same would have costed me. Not even just that but in 2 years the computer was dated trying to upgrade a laptop is a bitch and expense. Not that i could because any upgrades I would have done would have voided the 4 year warranty. After that was dont i ended up just buying a desk top. If you want to get cucked like I did be my guest.

I had one between 2003/2004
In that time i had it replaced maybe 5 times.
Eventually they even gave me a newer model.
I opened up one of them and rather than having a screw the harddrive was held in with packing tape.
Once it caused fairly severe burns to my leg.
I don't bother with gaming laptops anymore.

I just want to open 200+ tabs of porn while I have 300 other programs running with more porn. Gaming would be a rare thing.

I'm getting an alienware m17x r3 for around 50 bucks, I don't really intend to play any AAA game on my PC, I just intend to play indie games, some older games I bought on steam, and emulation. Is it worth?

I have an Alienware Alpha, the original model, not the R2 they have out now with a full GTX 970 in it.

I like it a lot. You can argue price/performance wises it was pretty expensive but $500 for the """console""" and a 360 controller and a wifi adapter. It's great for emulating and all your movies and shit under the television, and you can play PC games pretty well. Crysis 3 at a solid 30 fps on medium from the couch. Good times.

The only downsides are the hard drive it doesn't dedicated audio port so you need to use an adapter. The thinking being, of course, you'll just use HDMI audio. Adapters are luckily only a couple bucks on amazon.
