I've played so many of these games, from the original Elite, Wing Commander Privateer, Frontier Elite 2, Freelancer, the X games, Elite: Dangerous, pretty much everything but scam citizen and no matter how much I love the concept and try to like them, I have yet to have 1 single second of fun.
Where is the fun supposed to be in flying around a ship doing jobs to get a bigger ship to do bigger jobs in and make a bunch of money to no appreciable end or meaningful resistance?
At least in Mount and Blade you conquer the land and people realize this and try to stop your rise to power.
