Game seems fine to me, it's niche so it's not going to have a lot of players but all the ones I met actually bothered to communicate which is moire than you can say about more casual experiences like overwatch.

It's not going to be a huge success because there is no mass appeal in this type of game so as long as the developers get by financially it should be fine.

Yes, although that probably won't be very engaging to you. A bit simplified the supply chain works like this:
You have material nodes spread across the map, there's 4 or 5 different types, the more attractive ones like fuel and sulfur are located more towards the middle of the map which will most likely be where the front line is located.

Someone needs to mine materials by hitting it with a hammer, then transport it to a refinery, which should be done by truck, a truck which someone needs to drive.

Once refined you get the materials to one of the different factories where you produce the different supplies and weapons needed. They then need to be transported from the factory to a base where they can be unpacked and distributed to spawning soldiers.

The actual manufacturing is not very exciting though, refining is instant, you just press a button. Manufacturing is done in orders which take a set time to complete, but aside from starting and collecting the order no human interaction is required there either. When you build vehichles you actually have to use your hammer to build it but like the resource collecting you're just hitting stuff with your hammer so it's not very engaging.

Games need someone doing that to win. I've been playing for about a week now, and it's the first game where it realy feels like everyone needs to do their part to make vectory even possible. You also need drivers, a quartermaster to manage inventory, supply trucks to bring equipment to forward bases, and gatherers to collect resources.
The one thing that always causes a huge loss is having everyone take a gun and go fight. Because of how the supply system works, spawns will run out at forward bases without regular deliveries, and soon everyone s going to be spending 10-30 minutes running to the front lines from HQ.
This game really manages to make me care about how well coordinated my team is, because even if everyone is complete dogshit at shooting we can still win with enough supplies, faster tech and more artillery.

How easy is it for the enemy to interfere with your supply chains?

It's quite easy because trucks are extremely vulnerable even to small arms fire. You need to build defensive structures and radio posts alongside the roads to keep your logistics safe.

Well, they'd have to get behind your lines to do it. From what I've seen, they're pretty fuckin tight, and defenses are reasonably overwhelming without tank/indirect fire support - and those both require a shitload of resouces that would be much better used at the front.

So, realistically, practically nil.
