Graphics are admittedly not the best (still very good) but the story is literally the best story ever told in vidya.

DaS2 sucks though.

There are quite a few of these.
This for example is a completely underrated gem, and a must-play for any fan of classic Sci-fi. It's really a lot better than it has any right to be story-wise, and the gameplay is decent considering it's originally a phone game.
Looks like absolute ass though.

And then there is Original War. Was completely overlooked because of it's average graphics and seemingly uninteresting, Command and Conquer clone style, but it actually had quite amazing story with more reactivity and more fun characters than most fucking Bioware RPG's. It had pretty interesting and innovative, if unballanced gameplay too.

Condemned had an awful story.
The beginning and the middle was pretty good, when it was just about a crazed serial killer going around and a bunch of addicted homicidal homeless people tried to murder you.
That was good. It was intruiging. It was a very human story.
Then all of a sudden we get magic sound ghost cults controlling the world.
Any semblence of mystery just went straight out of the window.

I dont really get why there always has to be a supernatural aspect to videogames.
Lets take Hannibal Lecter for example.
He's an intriguing villain and completely human, with human motivation, which arguably makes him scarier and more interesting than most other horror movie villains.

Condemned 1 also went wild in the very end, retroactively ruining the rest of the story for me.
If they had ended it at the school, it would have been a perfectly fine serial killer story, with enough mystery left to warrant a sequel.
But they had to go ahead and make you fight these emaciated super voice ghost fags, which didnt fit in the game at all.
Atleast in my opinion that is.

That ending was scary as shit.Condemned's atmosphere is so fucking oppressive and dark. I want to play it again because its an amazing game but its legit too spooky 4 me. I had to play it in the daytime when it came out because i was too scared to put it on at night.

The last mission in Condemned one, where you're fighting in the burning farmhouse, also had these cult dudes runnign around.
