Uh, I'd say overly praised but not over praised. I mean it's annoying when autists go on about it all the time but they aren't wrong.

It's no where near as good as Dragon Quest VIII.

Yes, but it's still a good game and very well-made.

Despite their unique designs I can't remember a damn thing about any of the characters other than Frog.

Not. I hate rpg/turn based battles but Chrono Trigger's fucking lit.

one of the ~5 worthwhile rpgs on the snes, intuitive battle system, not very hard but it doesnt "feel" easy

I watch the game on twitch, and literally everyone who starts the game for the first time, can't stop playing it. It usually goes like this:

I'd say it's a tiny bit overrated, but it is such a nice game that it's understandable as why its so praised
