People thinking that this is actually the final boss rather than the Calamity Ganon form. It'd be like people saying pic related is the final boss of FF7.

Is also a complete pushover. If you do the Divine Beasts, Calamity Ganon loses 50% of his health. Combine that with the abilities you get from the Champions and you literally cannot lose the fight.

Zelda is one of those few good series where I can safely say none of the games have reasonably challenging or interesting final bosses, with maybe Majora being an exception (and even then the FD trivializes that to hell). They just couldn't think of a good followup to calamity ganon so they just went full retard and back to the 'big beast where you smack the super obvious weakpoints'.

Pretty much. It was basically a super light version of various SotC fights, minus any meaningful implementation of climbing mechanics. You'd think that they would remember to utilize the game's key movement mechanic in the final boss fight as a way to wrap everything up. A damn shame they didn't even bother.
