ITT villains who did nothing wrong.

He wasn't a villain. Arbiter was the villain in those levels.
>Start shooting Arbiter before he even gets a chance to listen about the Halos
>Did nothing wrong
Unironically Alex Yu, has to be the most believable, sympathetic and understanding """villain""" in vidya I've experienced so far.
>We can make history Morgan. Not those leeches on the TranStar Board of Directors. Not mom and dad. You and I. Just like we planned.

I think it's because he didn't think the Arbiter would believe the truth. Even after being betrayed and hearing the truth from the Gravemind, Tangent, and Chief he didn't immediately disregard his beliefs. It took being betrayed and witnessing the slaughter of the elites to really put him on that path.

Is this the subtle Halo lore thread?
Has anybody read any of the Halo novels that have come out in the past 2 years? All the ones that came out in 2015 (last light, broken circle, etc) were surprisingly good

Personally I thought they were all fantastic. Even though the last game I played was Halo 3

Unfortunately it doesn't really make sense, since killing Alex wouldn't save anyone, Alex in fact is the one pushing for you to try to avoid killing anyone, though he's more interested in the research than the preservation of life. Great character though, really wish he was in the game more because his dialog was always great both in terms of writing and delivery.
