Torchlight 2 is a legitimately good game.

Literally any other ARPG on the market does Diablo III better than Diablo III does at a quarter of the price at least.

D3 is in a pretty rough spot at the moment, and likely won't get much better. With the Necro release, there will very likely be little to no further development time spent on it. There are fundamental issues with D3 that Blizzard has refused to address.

Path of Exile is free, has an explosive community, and is regularly updated with new content, balance patches, etc. I prefer it to D3 and have for a while now.

I haven't played Grim Dawn but I've heard its promising.

No. D3 is with RoS is great if you're into that kind of thing but $50 is asking way too much, and if you've never played it before then you should just try the existing classes before paying for Necro.

Wait until the game and expansion are both on sale. Physical copies go on sale fairly often.

It's been a lot cheaper before, and the new necro pack is shit

If you're an arpg fan Diablo 3 will probably give you around 50 hours before you're bored.

Path of Exile will give you around 100-150 if you don't get too pissed and annoyed at the RNG reliance and shitty skill and tree system

Grim Dawn was really bad when I tried to play it recently. Not very satisfying, setting and characters weren't very intesresting, weird magic guns, weird atmosphere, etc. Wasn't feeling it.

If you're not an arpg fan then don't play any of them, its a pretty shitty and cancerous genre.

Every other ARPG out there is "le generic high fantasy setting." The only thing comparable to Grim Dawn is Bloodborne, or Malifaux if you're a fa/tg/uy.

Also I should add that I absolutely hated the class mixing system and that probably turned me off the game the most. I hate every game with that type of system.

It's better to play D2 single player with a resolution mod or wait until D2 remastered comes out.

D2 has a lot more depth than D3.

Well it's using a decrepit 11 year old engine.

And the class mixing allows for great build variety but not until you've leveled a fair ways in.
