Looking for a game that lets me build up a place (city, theme park, etc.) and make it look and run good.
At the same time, I don't want to have to micromanage it every second. I don't want the game to play itself, but I want it to not go up in flames if I'm not looking at it for 2 seconds.
I was playing Jurassic Park: Op Genesis and I got a pretty good sense of it. Something like City Skylines also works. I'm just looking to expand on those.

I like to do detailing.

That new coaster game might work. I'm sure someone can tell you what it's called. Some people into that sort of thing really get into farming simulator but I find it far too tedious. You could also focus on the business aspect of EuroTruck Simulator 2.

How do you make these merges?

I usually put on comfy music and drive around with mods in new vegas.
Its something about driving at the empty road at night that i really love.
Are train sims comfy? I am a massive train autist but ive never tried any

Planet Coaster?

Tried it, refunded it. Didn't run too well, and the business half was shallow (which worries me that those are the fuckers making JW evolution). The deep customization was nice, but I'm not the type to sit there for 6 hours putting individual details on the park entrance.

Banished was -the- comfy game back when it released. It's not the best, but definitely a comfy village sim.

They are intersection blueprints on the workshop. They are a pain to use but they make it look awesome.

City Skylines is autism done wrong.

Check out Factorio. There's a demo. $20, currently in Early Access (it's pretty much feature-complete, one or two major versions from release). I'm pushing 400 hours.
>>

I think that's just about opposite of what he's after.
>>
>>388350980
Perhaps. A well-built factory should require no micro-management, and design has considerable impact on performance. I mainly mention it because there's not much like it, but it is broadly comparable to certain simulator/management games.
>>
>>388350980
I'd beg to differ
Just set it to peaceful, make all the resources stupidly abundant and you're good, the actual factory only grows as fast as you build it and while you have to set everything up yourself, once you have a good chain of production in order you shouldn't really need to worry about looking back till the resource pool it's working from runs out.

I find Banished to be a game that constantly wants to punish the player. nevertheless I can pour an entire day into that game
>>
I wish this game ran at more than 20 fps when I'm zoomed out. I thought my pc was pretty decent too

I dont like that grid square on the left. Also far too many skyscrapers and too few suburbs. I have seen far worse cities though.
>>388350419
Banished is rather shallow.
