I genuinely prefer to play males, but chances are if there's character creation, the females have better options for everything. Cosmetics, faces, hair, classes, animations, armor... Generally if I can't make a semi-appealing bishounen then I probably won't roll a dude at all.

Some classes in RPG's wouldn't be as suitable with a male aesthetic. Generally casters are better as a female with tanky classes being more suitable as a male role. All about being Badass vs. being Sexy.

I want to be a girl but transitioning is a scam that lends itself to suicide (for obvious reasons). The biggest wish I have is flat out impossible to get in my life time. I would need to be born either again through reincarnation or in the future where CRISPR could correct me early on.

Since none of this is going to happen, I occasionally make girl characters for the fun of it, especially if it's an RPG.
