There's a lot of green screens and the sound sometimes cuts out
It's a damn shame because it's a fine game but it doesn't get tested an awful lot on the emulator so there isn't much bug management

Hell, it was pretty much already done for the N64 and was told to be ported to the Gamecube at the last minute

I played this game for the first time last year and aside from it being a pain in the ass to emulate properly it was great.

Combat was kind of shit, but in an endearing way like old RE games or something. Plus with the spells and weapons available it was easy as hell to just kick ass regardless. Except for the final boss who wrecked my shit for hours.

I'm a sucker for Lovecraft stuff but haven't ever really played any games that got the feel of it right. Eternal Darkness came pretty close and was spot on when you would listen to the descriptions of monsters or other voiced bits.

Sanity effects I thought would be a shitty gimmick but I was always finding new ones and every time they would spook me good. I remember one time I cast the heal spell and my head fucking exploded, nearly shit myself It was far too easy to avoid seeing them though, I ended up going out of my way to be constantly afflicted. Too bad the writer is a pedo who got locked up or something.
