People like me who want to play on console but also want decent framerates and resolution, and I don't mean 4K when it comes to resolution I just simply mean 1080p with possibly downscaled visuals because this 4K thing everyone seems to be chasing is retarded since right now that's PC territory.

I plan on waiting until this drops to $400 at least before I get it, and I'll mainly be playing multiplats on it with the few Microsoft exclusives there are since I do enjoy Halo and Gears from time to time. I feel like Assassin's Creed, Bamham, Dead Rising, and Call of Duty belong on Microsoft's side when it comes to multiplats so I don't touch them for PS4 since I'd like them tied to my Gamertag I've been using for like ten years. I bought a PS4 Pro for the framerate increases, better and more stable resolution, and future compatibility and that's already paid off for at least half the games I own thanks to Boost mode and Pro patches for stuff like Yakuza 6, Yakuza 0, Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Ratchet and Clank, etc so I know it's worth it.

You don't seem to understand the mindset of someone who doesn't really care about playing on PC, some people just don't want to do it, and I like to own games physically rather than have a digital library so PC isn't as appealing to me since physical copies are Steam keys with an install disk.

i bought my old gpu off ebay and it had problems holding its factory overclock and would black screen at its stock clocks but would be fine if i downclocked it. i didn't want to downclock since that's lost performance and the gpu should be able to handle the factory oc that it came with. it even had a custom pcb and all that. i ended up finding out it had 3 years left on warranty and requested an rma. i read online that all evga do is install a new bios which apparently fixes the problem but i also read that it's only a temp fix and the problems come back after a while. i wanted a fully working gpu anyway so i started the rma procedure and whilst i was taking it out of my motherboard i accidentally managed to knock off one of those small transistors off the back of the gpu and that small transistor alone caused the gpu to not display any image at all and i think they gave me the 1070 because that old gpu was out of production and because they couldn't install the cheapo bios option as the card wouldn't show anything on screen except a black screen.

that transistor falling off probably got me the 1070 and it's lucky that my original problem was a black screen issue so they didn't pick up on the fact i accidentally broke the gpu. if it was another problem like a fan problem or some shit i would have been screwed and they would have cancelled the rma once they found out i broke it.

Here's my question. Is the Xbone X going to give enhanced performance for older games? I keep trying to find some solid answers but can't seem to pin any down. Like if I play a 360 title will it be enhanced with better framerate/resolution? If I boot up GOW4 will it have better performance? What about Halo 5? Will the shitty dynamic resolution be eliminated? I want to buy one but only if the older titles get a quality upgrade. I got the PS4 Pro and was disappointed by the lack of titles that supported the extra power.

Have you heard of how the PS4 Pro works? Imagine Boost Mode but they went through each game to make sure it doesn't cause errors or crashes (Think SOMA on a PS4 Pro where it can't even boot on Boost mode due to how the game was made). Games don't get benefits unless they have dynamic resolutions or framedrops because that's all it boosts and need manual patches for anything else. Future games will all have patches.

If you want an example this means the Assassin's Creed games will stay at 900p no matter what while the PS4 has them at 1080p, Arkham Knight will still be 900p or 780p or whatever resolution it was because it wasn't dynamic, etc. Games like Battlefield 1 will stay at 1080p because that had dynamic resolution and it should never drop below that, etc.

360 and OG Xbox are getting 16xAF injected and any 360 titles with an unlocked FPS (like Bioshock or GTA IV) will be able to run at 60. OG Xbox gets toggleable 4xMSAA and any games that supported 720p/1080i/16:9 widescreen will automatically run at that setting. I'm most likely not going to buy a Xbox after the one because it just doesn't work anymore. I started gaming in the early 90s on PC. red alert, Xwing, dark forces, Duke nukem, doom etc. but then got into consoles for the ease of use.

I really liked the fact that they just worked, as much as it makes me sound like a worthless Apple Fag. When I wanted to game with a buddy I just plugged in a controller, it sure beat the dial up online play of the 90s. then when Xbox live came out, I jumped on it. I could play online just like PC but easier. I didn't have to worry about specs or drivers it just worked and I could play my games.
now, before I can play with a buddy we inevitably spend ten minutes figuring out why we can't talk or join a party. I know regardless of what MS says, eventually the x1 will no longer play the best games and I'll have to start checking specs again.
The two advantages that consoles had over PC, ease of use and couch co-op, are gone now. there's no reason to buy a console.
