They're nowhere near as bad as you're expecting if you've never played it, lightyears ahead of sonic 4, and definitely better than generations.

If anything maybe the spindash was a little underpowered but who cares, there's almost never a reason to use it

They've made a lot of good games. The fault in their Sonic games were more the fault of Sonic Team. Which the same problems occur in games DIMPS has no hand in.
