Advance 3 is better. The existence of Sky Canyon takes 2 down a notch. I also don't like the whole "You go so fast that you fly off screen" thing. The bosses in Advance 2 are really cool though.

It's at least one of the best. I honestly can't find a major flaw with it. Great music, great zones, amazing bosses, perfect controls, sweet artstyle.

Objectively, getting the Emeralds is ridiculously obtuse and the fact that you need to get all of them with ALL the characters to unlock basic shit like time attack and the chao garden is insane, but I personally really enjoy games with major unlockables that are hard to get, and the special stages themselves are really good too.
