Is it confirmed id tech 5? I saw some reviewer say they were playing on the PC build and that it ran well and had a lot of varied options in the menu.

Yep, was confirmed awhile back. I guess it was too far into development to switch over to 6.

id tech 5 games I have found to be inconsistent in how they run. Rage still runs like ass on my PC even at 1080p(which is more then capable of running anything on the market maxed out), TNO ran OK but had some weird configuration glitches that would cause stuttering. TOB ran like shit despite TNO running alright, and Evil Within had issues in some areas with a lot of lighting for me and had to turn off stuff.

I could never find a specific source on the id tech 5 rumor. All I see are theories.
The footage we've seen so far, even from the leak, has all been smooth. The original Evil Within looked choppy, even in trailers.

This is developers doing, not even TEW1 are hyping this game.
I like TEW1 but TEW2 looks even more generic with a more generic Sebastian looking for his daughter. That trope is overdone already.
