Nah son, game was pretty good. Max is a cutie. Choke is annoying but still a well thought out character. Setting and music were great and it had some genuinely emotional moments. Could have used more "pick your own adventure" elements and endings but I get what they wanted to do.

Max is an annoying cunt with a horrible VA, Chloe's bitchiness isn't justified in the slightest, nor is she ever engaging. The setting tries to be like Twin Peaks but the town is totally forgettable as are the people in it and, for me personally, the only emotions that LiS gave me were anger and frustration at how dogshit it all was.

Did you mean to say it is justified? If so, you're wrong. I don't know if you've ever met someone who had a parent that died when they were young, but they do not turn into a completely hostile and selfish asshole just because of it, it may be painful, but people move on. The only exception to this would be if Chloe and her father were extremely close to one another, but this much is never established. We get to see them interact with one another once very briefly when Max goes back to when she was a child and there's nothing there that conveys there's an especially strong relationship between the two, just your average father and daughter.

Yeah she did, but the why of it is never well established. It's clear as day that she's an enormous cunt, so in a well written story there should be a good reason for why she's an enormous cunt. Instead it's just that her poorly developed relationship with her father came to an end. I don't mind that she has daddy issues, so long as there's good reason for it, and LiS does not do nearly enough to give a convincing reason.

Yeah, it's said, but when you go back in time it's not shown, despite it being the perfect opportunity. The game telling me they were close so that justifies it isn't good enough, Chloe's relationship with Max has that same problem. If it were just a small part of her character it would be fine for it to be the way it is, but this is the whole justification for her incredibly grating attitude and it's not shown at all, making it all unconvincing.
