How would they even visually communicate to the player that they were looking at a Dyson Sphere? It would be hard to tell what you were looking at even if you weren't only viewing it through a half frozen porthole. It would just be a dimly lit perfect sphere from the outside and a well lit but nonetheless inscrutable skybox from the interior. In either case there would be no sense of scale.
