Probably to milk the setting for the next four games. This one you kill Ptolemaios to bring cleopatra on the throne of egypt and get to know Caesar.
Next game will be set in rome and you have to kill Caesar and get to know Octavian and Antonius.
Next game play in greece and you have to kill Brutus and Cassius.
Last game you kill Antonius and Cleopatra and help Octavian to become the biggest man in the history of the human species. Though I wonder if they just make you return to egypt for that of if that game will just feature different cities all across the ancient world.
