Max Payne 3 was fucking awful, Rockstar has a fucking army of great writers but they let some retarded fucking hack butcher the shit out of MP3 by just ripping off a much better story but replacing all likable characters with people you dont know and dont care about.
Also fuck unsinkable cinematics every 5 minutes, trying to replaying this was impossible when you realize you cant skip any of those cinematics.

Half-Life. No, seriously. Sure, Eli is dead and Alyx is grieving, but it ended just as the romance between Gordon and Alyx was starting to really tick up, and the fact they seem to have abandoned the franchise means we can make up our own actual ending rather than the real one where Alyx probably dies tragically, or even if not, we/Gordon get shoved back into a stasis-dimension until G-Man has use of us again.

Gordon and Alyx continued to be badasses, leading the resistance and makin' babies, and their children finally pushed the xenos scum off of earth. Earth rebuilt as a Blade Runner style cyberpunk world within a century. And right now, no one can prove that isn't what happens.

Writers on a roll never getting chance to end their series with a disappointing ending (read: most) is best end.
