Tried every patch/mod, except the Clan Quest Mod I think. Not entirely sure if I played that one, but I definitely did Antitribu, Camarilla, Final Nights, and the plus version of the Unofficial Patch. Also played with the vanilla 1.2 patch, True Patch, and basic Unofficial Patch.

I already know what I'm gonna play next too, haven't done a Malk run in a while, looking forward to that next time.

I played Malk my first two times, I actually enjoyed it. It's kind of interesting your first time when you have to actually try to decipher what you're going to say, and then on the second playthrough when you can understand it more. First time I did a ranged/dementation Malk and the second was a stealth/melee one. After that I think I did a Toreador and still found it interesting because it was different from the Malk runs.

Also more on replayability but there's Nosferatu, which is effectively a harder mode of the game since you HAVE to rely on stealth. You get locked out of some stuff though, but you get unique shit with the Nos settlement in Hollywood. I dunno if that's added with the patches or not. Thaumaturgy in the PnP game is ridiculous as it's actually three disciplines. there's the default one from the corebook, the path of blood, then the Tremere clanbook introduces two more, the path of flame, and the I forget what the other one was but it was basically spend blood points to TK shit. However, Dominate is not a 100% thing, a strong Willpower will block it. Early on LaCroix dominates the character with ease, later on he can't. The simple explanation is that his Willpower increased, which is something that happens as a character grows in power. The complicated answer is that Caine is using a never before mentioned or seen power to suddenly lower the PC's generation, although all associated affects with a lower generation never happen (no increased Discipline potency, no extra vitae pool, no increased spending), in fact the only thing this nonsensical explanation seems to try and explain is how he's able to resist Dominate.

Personally I went with a charisma/seduction Toreador and only died like 6 times during the whole game.
I barely had DEF/ATK stats.

I played Malk the first and second times I played. It felt different each time because the first time was more confusing. It's doable if you really want to play Malk the first time.

Other than Malk and Nosferatu though they're mostly similar. Probably Ventrue though, they can start with the most persuasion if you want to do more dialogue stuff and the fortitude discipline will make them able to take a lot of damage. They can work with both firearms and melee though they're better with firearms.

Brujah = fast melee
Gangrel = tank melee
Toreador = fast firearms
Ventrue = tank firearms
Tremere = mage that works better with firearms, vulnerable until you get blood shield

Tremere is amazing too, you are just a little fragile at the start.
Ventrue is actually also a great choice, durable in battle, have extra diakogue options (both dominate and interesting class choices) and they look suave. But you have to deal with not feeding on mice, prostitutes and bums, so carry a couple blood bags.

I really wanted to like Gangrel but their claws are wonky. They do good damage but they're slower than fists and the knockback messes up all your melee combos. You have to do one melee hit and then wait for the combo to reset so you don't whiff your next hit.

Final Nights and Antitribu are overhaul mods that change the way some levels are designed, how some abilities work, etc. I can't remember which ones did it but some of them make it so you slowly lose blood even when not using disciplines and have to regularly feed. There's also no health regen and you have to use an ability called blood heal with them.

The plot and most of the game basically stays the same though, it's just like they slightly change some obstacles. They're okay for the most part and worth playing but I think the vanilla game is better, I don't like some of the changes they make and I think using blood heal is just annoying.

I used to listen to them a lot when I was like 14, stopped listening to them for a long time until recently after talking about the music in VtMB and someone saying how much they liked Lacuna Coil. I almost forgot about them since I usually skip the credits. I still really like them. Their first album is a little more unpolished but still really good.

I'm not sure if Therese ever directly says she created Jeanette, just hints at it by saying things like she was never allowed out and got lonely. She couldn't have gotten lonely unless she was actually without Jeanette at some point meaning she wasn't a real person. Plus Therese and Jeanette contradict each other a lot in their squabbles.
