My biggest complaint about PUBG, aside from it being early access and just unfinished is how RNG it is. Winning always, always requires good luck. If you get a shit circle, bad loot or someone is in the right place (wrong place for you) your chances of surviving are dashed in many instances

Drop in game is really bad, I can run 3 buildings and get just a pistol and a few smokes, dropping far of the circle isnt much of a problem if you just know where to look for a vehicle (nearby main roads). Yeah, but sure it's FUN! It's just fun!

I don't hate it, but since this genre will like take the place of open world survival games with crafting in the future I hope somebody pushes the boundary and creates a battle royale in a futuristic setting with interesting gameplay.

I mean at one stage it was me staring down the barrel of a loaded shotgun knowing full well these games had almost completely eroded away my ability to play real good, high quality experience that require a real invesment, work, skill and even respect before rewarding you but I uncocked the shotty and decided to reformat my brain to try and start again with relative success.

It's never too late.

The appreciation for real video games eventually comes back but I still twitch every few minutes and sometimes reach for Overwatch and Battlefield or whicever is the most popular shooter but I know it's a rabbithole that doesn't end and I'll be ignoring the wealth of quality the medium of video games has to offer by allowing such low hanging fruit to bait me into consuming it.

I offer my post as a simple letter of request, that you as a gamer as cringey as that sounds, ask yourself about what games you're going to play and weather or not you want to consume literal shit or not. It's an honest question and quite fair. Goodluck.

Memes aside, PUBG is one of the best examples of pure gameplay in years. No cinematic shit, no waifu shit, no meta crafting tables, just pure combat. If you think PUBG is an example of what games shouldn't be, you need to fuck off.

i hate this game so much i do extensive research into every facet of it and constantly post in great detail why i dislike this game i haven't bought or played so much
