I remember playing this for the first time years ago. I started with some friends on freedom and everything was going great for the first few weeks. Then like a gust if wind a whole fucking village of goonswarm faggots showed up and started to destroy any resource that wasn't deeded. After they cut down every tree in sight of our settlement they started a process they called 'desertification' where they just replaced every grass and dirt tile with sand. I logged in one day to find any tile within a 30 minute walk to be sand. They eventually got bored and I looted a wagon and everything I could pack into it. It didn't matter though, it was enough for all my friends to rage quit.

I love unlimited.

Funny, when I first started on freedom, we did exactly that to a freedomer and got the admins called on us for "cutting his trees" and told to leave. They weren't on his deed, they weren't even in his perimeter, but the GM said we weren't allowed to cut them down because they were "his"

The server is factional pvp so being HOTS or MR puts a massive target on your back to JK.

I don't know how long you'll last alone, but you'll need to stay quiet and of the coasts otherwise their rape and pillage squadron will find you.
I'd recommend coming to our village to get a little tutorial on how the game is played and skill up a little before you go out as a hermit.

That depends sir, do you like being a medieval peasant in a fantasy land ruled by warring gods, a deep meditation and magic system that is tied to the faith of your deity? A battle system that improves along with your skills at certain weapon skill levels you learn special combat moves. For maces when you aim at someones head you can give them a "Kiss Goodnight" which causes a bad head wound, drains your targets stamina and makes them throw up from the impact. You can become a priest and with the favor of our goddess libila become a necromancer who's weapons cause rotting wounds.
