I can get where people come from with the whole saving someone you love (as long as it's someone actually loveable, and not Chloe.) But if they're begging me to do the right thing then I'll properly do it. I won't deny I wouldn't be tempted though.

Also I can imagine even if you did they would be wracked with guilt, blaming themselves for all those deaths and maybe resenting you for putting that weight on them. Chloe and Max clearly don't care though, since they apperantly just decide to drive off into the sunset without bothering to check on Chloe's mom or any of their friends along the way in case anyone was injured or killed.
